Yoga Instructor

I love yoga because it encompasses the WHOLE person MIND, BODY, & SPIRIT and can accommodate all ages and levels of fitness.  This became evident to me when I suffered a knee injury.  No longer able to take my walks, I turned to my 20 year yoga practice for solace and strength.  I learned to modify poses to suit my needs and to focus on what I could do instead of what I could NOT do.

The decision to become a RYT 200 yoga instructor has been life changing.  It is my goal to teach others what lessons I learned while practicing yoga through injury.  By nurturing your MIND, BODY, SPIRIT you can do it too, through yoga!

In addition to yoga I still enjoy walking with girlfriends, cooking with my daughter, and tending our community garden with my neighbors.

I am grateful for the undying support of my husband Bill, our 4 adult children and 8 grandchildren.

Yoga Instructor

I began my yoga journey in 2012.  After practicing for two years I felt the strong desire to learn more about myself and found that this would be possible through attending teacher training.   The experience of both practicing yoga and taking the yoga teacher training changed me in so many different ways, and I am driven to share the benefits with others.

Emotion-Based Life Coach

Despite hating my first experience with yoga which was through P90x in 2007, there was still something about it that kept drawing me back. I felt compelled to try yoga at several venues and with various teachers with little success.

In 2018, I found myself in a heated yoga class with an amazing instructor. It was that moment I felt something awaken deeply inside of me, and a desire for yoga was born. Through this instructor and her teachings, I discovered peacefulness, clarity, balance and harmony within me. I began to invest in my well-being by creating a practice with yoga.

Committing to my practice seemed to open all kinds of doors for me on my spiritual journey including an Emotion-Based Life Coaching certification program and eventually Yoga Teacher Training opportunity at Samastah in Ferndale, MI. My practice has now guided me to the Kriya Yoga Community.

Reiki III Certified

Looking for more balance and peace in my life, I began my Yoga journey learning a Kriya meditation with a live guru in 2006. This week long experience was a transformative process, and ignited my love of Yoga and quest to learn more about this sacred and ancient practice. After a few years of meditation, I became interested in exploring asana, which eventually lead to my desire to attend teacher training. As both a student and teacher of Yoga, I began to witness my life evolve in beautiful ways, and sharing my passion for Yoga with others continues to be a great joy in my life.
Other elements of my background include occupational therapy as well as being a Reiki practitioner. In my free time I enjoy the outdoors and travel with my family and hanging out with my two Collies Kipper & Bodhi.
